That beefy rear end is gonna go really well with all that motor. The stretch is going to make a big difference and I agree that it won't look like it's
too far back, got so much framework to work with. Looking Good!

jps if you are still in the market i have an american ironhorse frontend sitting in storage. I'm not positive of the legth because i think that it's
sitting without fluid. the bike that it came off of looks to hace a 6 or 8 over front on it now. i don't check in here very often, so pm me on the sohc
site if you are interensted.

Well I managed to find a new model cbr600 swing arm for $11. Yeah it was $4 more than the one in the pics but may work better. We'll see. They sell really
cool swing arm extensions for these swing arms. As Johnny would have said "Thats wild, I did not know that."

Never mind, I found em. You gotta be kidding me though, 245.00 for two little hunks of metal! What did it take like 10 minutes on a CNC and a bucks worth of
aluminum. Sounds like back to e-bay to me! Good idea though. Quick and easy

Joe, ran across this company that will extend your swing arm for just a little more than the cost of the extensions.http://www.thompsonscustomcycles.com/

Got the Ironhorse frontend from Crazycats. Once I polished it, all the flaws sort of disappear at about 3 feet away. Looks like a lot of chrome.
Can't wait to move forward!

Glad it is working out. Kinda wish that I had something to put it on, but I can't justify buying the rest of the bike just so the frontend has something to
do.

Well, I got a 21" spoker that is 3.5" wide so I can run a 120 tire. I think it needs a fat tire in the front with that wide billet front end, wide
200 rear tire and even wider motor. I should have no problems balancing my fat ass on this thing!
But hey, I am building this one to be COMFY on the highway soooooo, perfect!

Here is what needs to be done by May plus all the little stuff. I'm working on it. Maybe I'll get some pics for yall soon.
1) making a 07' Honda CBR600 swingarm and mono-shock work on a 79' CBX frame 2) making a 76' sohc rear drum/Excel 5.5/Metzeler 200mm tire work with 79' engine and 07' arm 3) removing the entire rear portion of the frame behind the forward craddle and fabbing a floating seat 4) swapping a 79' CBX stem into an 01' Ironhorse frontend 5) raking a CBX frame with no downtubes and making the longer frontend work with a 21" fat front wheel 6) lower the overall ride height to about 4-5 inches 7) adapt/modify a standard round oil tank to become an electrics box (this bike has no oil bag) 8) make new mid controls and forward pegs 9) make new bars to work with Chopper Inc. risers 10) Adapt the 07' Yamaha V-star tank to sit low on the frame including moving the petcock to the rear

Not quite. Shaving the pivot point now. Still need to make the necessary linkages for the shock mount under the frame. I modified a yamaha arm first but
decided not to use it since the Honda arm system will not require upper shock mounts.
Oh well. I guess when breaking new ground you may make a few things that don't get used.

+1 on that JP.Building that one i did was the best thing i did for myself in a long time. The thing is when it was done i sent it off to be better but still i
enjoyed the first build.I guess my lesson is ,take more time and do it right the first time. The next one i do i will take my time.I guess the differance will
be i should have a rider already so i wont be so quick to finish it.How many you have now ,about 3?
