I am getting upset with my headlight. It takes that three prong bulb with the thinest wires that keep breaking off.Not burning out just breaking off.At $8
apiece i have replaced 3 so far because i guess either the springer shakes to much or they are just cheap.Anyway i have looked all over and can not find a
bobber style headlight that just takes the old time bulbs.

Swiff, I don't know if they exist or not, but you may want to see if they make a heavy duty bulb. I was always blowing tailights due to my light being
mounted to the rear axle. Then I found a heavy duty bulb, and the problem stopped. You might want to ask your local parts store.

I will Mike thanks.I know they sell the same type bulb but costs like $20 each .Wonder if it a better one. With that three prong set up i guess an old car bulb
would fit in the housing if i could find the right size.My housing has the metal ring and just the glass face now so if i dont use the glass face and just the
bulb with the metal ring to keep it in that may be a idea.Just dont know if it would work with the motorcycle elect.system.

Yep hard to see but it is a little wire at the top that keeps breaking off.

you may also want to try a different brand. I had a lamp that blew bulbs like crazy. Stopped buying them at Wal Mart, and bought them at Lowe's instead.
Lasted a LOT longer.

You can switch the bulb to a car head light bulb and it would be ok for the electrical system, may have mounting problems though

Crap this morning i changed it again and washed the bike.Let it set a while then went out to start it and brought it slowly up to 7000rpm and the fricken blub
broke again just from the vibration.I will go with a better bulb first and check on a car replacement. What i should do is get a new light.I want one of those
reqtangular ones but can not find a good one .Any ideas?Of course a cool retro round one would look better if it had a good bulb re-placement.

I switched mine to a halogen once, just didn't like the beam it threw out so I went back to the old style. Let me know how yours is, I do need a brighter
light for spot lighting those deer
