the bad luck continues |

As most of you know, I've been laid up since April. I'm finally ready to go back to work, and now my boss tells me he can't afford to have me come
back right now. I know this is true, because he sold his Vette...something he would have never done. It would have been nice if he'd told m,e weeks ago,
before the bills started piling up. Oh well, I'll be able to file for unemployment at least. I know it wasn't anything personal, and I have a line on a
good job...maybe. With luck like mine, who knows? lol

Well that sucks! Even if it's not personal, he could have told you sooner! Hopefully you get enough from unemployment to cover bills. G/L!

Bummer. Just remember behind every dark cloud is rain! If it can happen, it will. Everything happens for a reason, I didn't say a good reason, just a
reason. Keep your head up bro

already turned...lol The boss calls me the next night, and asked me if I would drive the moving truck for him. (I normally deliver Auto Parts to stores at
night) I said sure. So I did. At the end of the day, he asked me how I was feeling. I told him I was worn out...lol that's when he told me he didn't
want to lose me, and that he knew all of this wasn't fair to me but that May was the worst month he'd ever had, and asked me if I'd conceid the
raise he had given me. I said yes because I know he'll make it up to me. I go back to work Monday night. I hate my job, but love the wages and the boss
truly is a good guy.

There you go Mike.I have to keep the wages low for my crew also and they understand for now.I do try to buy them lunch and drinks with the occasional extra
bucks. The hard thing for me is like your boss says I know they are worth a lot more than the market will bare.Of course they dont see me going out and buying a
lot of things either {could not if i wanted}so that helps to.I am truly happy for you and the Mrs.

Yup that sure softens the load, been there with every dime hung out on a job hoping that I'm not having to wait like 2 weeks while my invoice sits on some
lazy secretary's desk.
